Coming down the A9 we diverted here for a late lunch. We'd pegged it as a place to stop based on the other reviews, and the place lived up to it's reputation. We only had ice-cream ourselves, but the other diners had food that looked just like in many of the review pictures. We arrived on a Thursday at about 1:30pm. It wasn't busy and we ordered at the counter after waiting for only one other person. It was a great place to stop and I'm glad we did. The ice cream was really good quality, the atmosphere was great, the mini store was nice, service and attitudes were pleasant, the washroom/toilets were clean. They have a small store for farm produce, and an outside seating area with animal pens and great views of the surrounding countryside. Well worth a visit.
Genuinely don't know where to begin, it was so good, so I'll just dive in and say that the ice cream we had here was probably the nicest and lushest we've ever had anywhere. Our main courses - jacket potatoes- were nice, but the desserts... ridiculously good, everything rich in taste and generous of portion. Great choice of exotic sundaes and ice creams (Drambuie and raspberry ice cream...not sure something that tastes that good is legal, is it??). Add to this a lovely atmosphere, super-helpful and welcoming staff, and a shop that is the kind of shop Willy Wonka would open if he branched out into specialist cheese, quality meats and biscuits - and you get a really special place. Just be aware this is a very, very dangerous place if you are calorie counting ;-) Can't recommend highly enough.
Plenty of parking. Lots of nice edible, and non edible, treats in the shop.
Ice cream sundaes were truly amazing - think the ice cream and cream were seriously the best I’ve ever had. The waitress was just so lovely as well - full of life, fun and so friendly.
Also bought some cakes to take away.
Just sad that I don’t live nearby, but will definitely visit again when I’m in the area.
Fantastic experience with lovely staff (even knowledgeable and aware of dietary needs of coeliac sufferers). Very pleasant restaurant with yummy ice cream! Enjoyed watching Ruby and Rosie the pigs outside the restaurant.
Great place to have lunch and of course a fantastic ice cream! Good farm shop too.
The ice cream is always excellent but do try their cooking and baking too. Recently had the most beautiful venison hotpot followed by a gorgeous slice of pecan pie.
The staff are always wonderful and the venue has a warm inviting feel.
Love Stewart Tower Dairy not just for the lovely food and amazing ice cream but the staff are very friendly and accommodating! We visit a lot when in Perthshire on holiday. On our last visit we arrived 40 mins before they were due to close. I had promised my granddaughter ice cream before heading home from holiday and they couldn’t have been nicer, allowing us to sit in and have ice cream and a coffee. Great customer service! It is a little expensive but it's not really surprising when you consider the above.
It is extremely popular and there can sometimes be a wait for tables. Not sure if you can book a table.
The farm shop is great too.
